About the Event

Weyauwega's Horse and Buggy Days is a beloved local event started in 1961. This year's event is happening on October 11, 2025. We are excited to celebrate the Cheese-O-Wega theme, highlighting our town's rich cheese-making heritage.

There will be a fun run in the morning, a parade at noon, games and contests in the afternoon and live music at the Gerold Opera House. There will be cheese themed foods available and a history of Weyauwega Cheese Presentation at the Gerold Opera House. There will also be an old fashioned photo booth at the Gerold.

SCHEDULE - OCTOBER 11

9am-10am 5K Fun walk/run - Silverback Strength

10am Scavenger Hunt, registration at City Hall, awards at 4pm

10:30am Grain Silo Rededication - Repainted!

11:30am Kiddie Parade begins - Main Street

12pm Parade!! Cheese themed parade with awards!

12-3pm Wega Fire Department Open House - Raffle Drawing at 2pm

1-4pm Cheesecake, Pie & Ice Cream Social - City Hall

1:30pm Children’s games on Main Street!

1:30-3pm Bingo at Dahlke Funeral Home

1:30pm Mousehole and Dart Tourney - Main Street Taverns

1:30-4pm Old fashioned Photo booth - Gerold Opera House

2:30pm Beard & Mustache Contest - Main Street Klippers

3pm History of Cheese in Weyauwega - Gerold Opera House

3:30-5pm Karaoke - Gerold Opera House

5pm Cheese curd eating & Cheese Tasting Contests - City Hall

6:30pm Bluegrass concert by Chicken Wire Empire

The world renowned Bluegrass Band from Milwaukee, CHICKEN WIRE EMPIRE will be at the Gerold Opera House in Weyauwega, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 11th. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The Gerold features a full bar. This concert is part of Horse and Buggy Day's with events happening throughout the day. There will be food vendors and other activities on Main Street outside the Gerold.

Doors open at 6pm - Concert at 6:30pm - GEROLD OPERA HOUSE

All tickets are general seating. We will have tables and chairs as well as balcony seating available. There will also be a dance floor!
